Creating professional estimates is one of the most important skills for any contractor. With Brixor, you can create detailed, accurate estimates in minutes instead of hours. This guide will walk you through the process step by step.

Step 1: Access the Estimate Builder

Log into your Brixor account and click on "Estimates" in the main navigation menu. Then click the "New Estimate" button to start creating your first estimate.

Step 2: Enter Client Information

Start by entering your client's details:

• Client name (required)
• Email address
• Phone number
• Project address

You can also select an existing client from your client list if you've worked with them before.

Step 3: Add Project Details

Give your estimate a clear title that describes the project. For example: "Kitchen Renovation - 123 Main Street" or "Bathroom Remodel - Master Suite".

Add a project description that outlines the scope of work. This helps both you and your client understand exactly what's included in the estimate.

Step 4: Add Line Items

This is where you break down the project into individual tasks and materials. For each line item, include:

• Description: Clear description of the work or material
• Quantity: How many units (hours, square feet, items, etc.)
• Unit Price: Cost per unit
• Total: Automatically calculated (Quantity × Unit Price)

Step 5: Include Taxes and Fees

Add any applicable taxes, permits, or additional fees. Brixor automatically calculates the total including all line items and additional charges.

Step 6: Review and Send

Before sending, review your estimate for accuracy:

• Double-check all quantities and prices
• Verify client information is correct
• Review the project description for clarity
• Check that your business logo and contact info are displayed correctly

• Include contingencies: Add 10-15% for unexpected issues
